I will be voting for DSA member Nithya Raman for Los Angeles Mayor, while I liked the other DSA member Rae Huang more, but the election polls show that Raman has more support to being the top three candidates to be in the run off/. One of those three is current corporate incompetent servant mayor Karen Bass whom while attending the homophobic new Ghana Africa president during the large fires in that city then blamed and fired the Lesbian fire chief for not having the resources - budgeted to the LAPD instead. Bass was actually at UCLA when directing the LAPD to arresting UC Students and tearing down the Palestine Solidarity Encampment there last year. Karen Bass has long ago strayed from her mother's progressive views when then in 1948 Carlotta Bass was the Progressive Party Vice President candidate. Karen Bass spoke at a Scientology Church opening while in the U. S. Congress which that showed she was then (and since) chasing after money.
The other leader in the mayor's race coming in third place is the republican trumpster and very close to being neck to neck with Bass, is the DSA candidate and City Council member Raman - whom might even come in first, with much dissatisfaction with Mayor Bass in worsening city services and growing homeless and drug addiction. (with no needed hospital beds for mentally ill and substance abuse. The rising costs of basic living expenses is fueling opposition to both Mayor Bass and the republican candidate. The DSA candidate Raman was criticized in 2025 for accepting the Democrats for Israel Club endorsement then for Council re-election. Raman appears no leftwing radical and if she wins will likely carry out a usual administration serving the wealthy and exploiting the laboring class. .
