The Iran War which is about to weaken the American-Zionist monster has
provoked a shift to the left in various respect. As we did already note
somewhere else, one consequence of this war is that several centrist
organisations which refused to defend Iran in the 12-days war last year,
formally call now for the defence of Iran against the imperialist
aggression. Alan Woods’ RCI, Current for Permanent Revolution - Fourth
International (the renamed Trotskyist Faction led by the Argentinean
PTS) or the LIS/ISL (the ragbag international of different forces led by
the Argentinean MST) are examples for such a shift.
