As firewalls become more and more prevalent, it seems that even standard
ftp clients are using the PASV-mode more and more often.

However, such clients might still know how to fall back to PORT-mode, if
the PASV reply is an error (since many ftp servers didn't implement it
in the old days).  So perhaps if you can convince your ftp server to
generate an error reply to the PASV request, you can convince the client
to use PORT mode.
