I really, really tried to find info on this myself. You asked me if I used the looseUDP patch...well I guess I don't know. I thought it was included in Alan Cox's patch but after reading the beta IPMASQ-HOWTO I'm not sure. I don't remember being able to choose that option in the config(yes I enabled experimental code). So I followed the instructions in the HOWTO to apply the patch. I didn't let it scare me that the number on the loosedup patch is 2.0.36 and my kernel is 2.2.3 because I told you that as well and you also recommended it. When attempting to patch the fresh 2.2.3 source I get 9 out of 9 hunks failed. The HOWTO also says it is important to apply the IPPORTFW patch first. I didn't do that because portfw support is rolled 2.2.x into the kernels. Can you offer some assistance? ~Jeff p.s.I wish I had the new IPMASQ_HOWTO when I was starting out. Thanks for all the work. -----Original Message----- From: David A. Evidently, some of the MASQ modules BROKE in 2.2.x and though he has fixed them, his patches haven't been rolled into the new kernel yet. Check them out at: http://juanjox.linuxhq.com If this solves your problems with the 2.2.3 kernel and IPMASQADM's IPPORTFW, please let me know. --David .--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -. | David A.
