I've seen this before too. First, make sure you have the newest
SVGA server for Xfree86. Next, turn on the "noaccel" option and
lastly, run the card at a lower # of colors.
If that fails, I think you have bad video memory in the card since
this happened to me too. Can you verify that the card is ok under
another OS?
