This is a repost of last week's message. The old list software setup is
going away very soon (within 24 hours), so if you have not subscribed to
the new list, you should do so now.

==================================================================

Hi all,

As promised a while ago, the new version of the Linux IP Masquerade
mailing list is now available, and I would like to ask all subscribers to
join the "new" list.

The "new" masq list will have the same function as the old one, although
your cooperation in keeping it masq-related will be GREATLY appreciated.
It will just be hosted on the new mailserver with newer software.

This should improve distribution speed and reduce the load on Indyramp's
servers. For a list with over 600 realtime and over 600 digest
subscribers, this will be a welcome development.

* If you wish to be on the realtime version of the Linux IP Masquerade
* mailing list, where you get each message as it goes out, you should send
* an email to:
*
*       <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

@ If you wish to be on the digest version, where you get a message once or
@ twice a day (or maybe every two days on slow weeks) containing a
@ collection of several postings, you should send an email to:
@
@       <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

In either case, the subject and body of the message are ignored, and you
will be subscribed at the address you send the request from.

If you'd like to subscribe a special address... for example,
[EMAIL PROTECTED], you can change the @ to an = sign and append it
to the "fake" address in the command. For example:

        <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

In any event, the list management software will send a confirmation
request to the prospective subscription address, and you can reply to that
confirmation to confirm your subscription. This reduces the chance of
prank subscriptions, and it also confirms that your address is reachable.

The old masq list will be scheduled for cleaning on Saturday. This means
that anyone who does not resubscribe using the above addresses by Saturday
morning will find a stunning silence in their email. After that point I
will forward [EMAIL PROTECTED] to the new address to save everyone a bit
of typing.

Thanks for your continued support and cooperation.
