Michael:
If you have a dynamic IP, you need to have this line somewhere in
your startup (mine's in /etc/rc.d/rc.local):
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_dynaddr
I'm not familiar with your isdn setup, but my guess is that the
connection starts with the isdn interface using the address from its
last connection. So, your first packet, the pop3 connect, gets lost.
If this doesn't do it, let us know.
