This looks like an FAQ but I cannot see anything in the archives.

I have a Linux 2.0.36 box running diald and Masq for a bunch of W9x things and
I want it to be able to accept dialin PPP connections from other W9x and Unix
boxen.

Diald, Masq and dialin PPP work - but (so far) only when I drop all ipfwadm
restrictions.

The base problem is that I have no way of knowing which ppp interface is
which. One minute ppp0 is dialout and the next it is dialin and so on.

All IPs are private (192.168.1.x) except for the dialout PPP connection which
has a static address provided by the ISP.

Suggestions and/or examples of working ipfwadm rules for this setup would be
greatly appreciated.

Cheers and thanks,
Stephen Davies
