Hey all;

I have tried to set up my RedHat 6.0 machine to run IP masq. to no
avail. I have been using the IP MASQ HOWTO version 1.65, which worked
perfectly with Caldera 2.2.

When I set up masq on the machine and reboot, I can see my local net
and the internet, but the machine will not forward packets.

When I make the necessary changes to the kernel, the item
"CONFIG_IP_ALWAYS_DEFRAG" (Always defrag packets) does not exist. I
have looked for it in the xconfig, the menuconfig and have even
grepped through the makefiles to try and find it but it does not seem
to exist.

Considering the HOWTO says that defragging is required for masq, how
can I get around this?

This issue did not exist with Caldera 2.2 using the 2.2.5 kernel, so
why would it exist on the RedHat 2.2.5 kernel?.

Anyone have any ideas? Any info or patches to masquerading that
pertains to RH 6.0 would be appreciated.

Seeya!

Domito
