Hello.
I am new to Linux and am trying to set up a Linux server that does IP
masquerading.
I've read the HOWTO on the subject and gathered that I have to recompile
the Linux 2.0.x kernel.
I've installed Redhat 5.2 with the server option. I've also installed two
ethernet cards. One card goes to my local (private) subnet, and the other
is connected to my company's subnet. The company's subnet is connected to
every other part of the network via a router.
I was wondering if Redhat 5.2 already has the ip masquerading options
compiled the kernel when I installed Redhat 5.2 or if I have to go through
the process of reconfiguring the kernel and recompiling it. If Redhat 5.2
includes IP masquerading by default, please tell me how to activate it.
I'd appreciate any advice in this area.
Regards.
Kelvin
