Hello, I just joined this list so excuse me if this has been rehashed
multiple times however I cannot find the solution anywhere.

Here's the problem. I can set up an ip masquerading server for linux just
fine. The server is always ipchains/2.2.X and I've done mulitple setups
that include such things as dhcpc for masqueraded ips, ip aliasing with
one NIC using one valid and one masq interface, etc.

Windows 95/98/NT all work fine behind the masquerade box on all setups.

Linux only sends two packets and then dies. If I bring the interface down
and back up, two more packets. Actually, this varies between two packets
to two minutes of working networking, but always dies eventually. This
occurs on dual boot machines where Windoze has no problem. This occurs on
my laptop and I have tested this on many different masqueraded networks.

This is such a ubiquitous problem for me that I can only assume that
someone else has seen this, and possibly found a workaround.

Thanks for the help.

-Brian
