It turns out the stock ip_masq_ftp.c in 2.2 is quite a bit different 
that the 2.0 version.  So no, my version apparently won't "just work" 
with 2.2.  Also, the required kernel patch is slightly different (and 
even more trivial).

One adventurous soul did merge my ip_masq_ftp.c changes into the 2.2 
version, and reported success.  But then he went quiet (probably has 
a real job), and AFAIK that version hasn't gone anywhere.

I plan to revisit all this if/when I upgrade to 2.2.x, but who knows 
when that will be (I also have a real job).
