/* HINT: Search archives @ http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ before posting! */ I have a linux box (redhat 6.0) and Windows clients. No problem in using HTTP, FTP, and telnet from the client machines. But the client cannot play through the linux box; on most of the online services, we can join the channel and chat just fine, but when we try to launch the game the client machine cannot find the connection. I am specifically looking a way to play over the mplayer and the boneyards (cavedog ent's free online service) for now. I haven't try quake yet since quake3's glsetup choke on my video card, and I don't have quake2 around my machine anymore. I have opened the following ports: TCP/UDP 47624, TCP/UDP 2300-2400, TCP 9110&9113 (for boneyards). Mplayer seems to need TCP/UDP 8000-8999, but isn't this quite a lot ports to use? Is it safe to open all these ports? If anyone that has been able to play through their linux box can give me some pointer, I would be grateful. Thanks. _____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
