Hey guys.. I'm currently running slackware linux with a 2.2.10 kernel.
IP_MASQ is compiled into the kernel and working. I connect to the net via
modem and use my windows machine on my local network to do basically
everything. I downloaded a very handy program called napster from
www.napster.com which is basically an MP3 file transfer type program.
Through this, I'm able to download files without a problem, but other users
are unable to connect to my computer to download files from me. As of yet,
I dont have any info on the port this program uses to make its
connections.. I'm about to email them regarding this as I cant find any
info on their page. I decided to send an email here on the off chance that
someone may already have this program running and can give me the IPchains
firewall rules they used to get it working. I also thought this program MAY
need some kind of module of its own written such as the ftp and irc/dcc
modules for it to work. Can anyone shed any light on this subject?
Cheers
