/* HINT: Search archives @ http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ before posting! */ Hi! I have a Debian machine set up as a masquerading host on a DHCP connection. Kernel 2.2.1, ipchains. The ISP (Telenet) filters out packets on port 80 to force everyone use their proxy on 8000. I did not like to change all machines' setup so I installed tarnsproxy package 0.3-7. The firewall forwards all requests to port 80 to port 8000 on the local machine and the transproxy rewrites packets to go to the ISP's proxy. This works just fine with Netscape in Linux but I have problems with Windows machines running Internet Explorer. Some images do not come through and if you reload the page it sometimes reloads but sometimes gives an error of "page is not accessible" (or something like that, the windows messages are not very informative). Anybody knows what I should be looking at?
