Actually, I would expect it to be better to load the firewall script as
early as you can, or as early as you dare. On my system, the rc.local
script is the LAST thing to get loaded. I load my routing/masq script
before NFS or SMB, so that I don't have to worry about those being in-secure
until the script loads. Of course, I really shouldn't be running anything
on my router/masq machine, but I haven't picked up a decent box for a server
yet.
