Hi,

I have set up my IP-Masquerading according to the Mini-Howto and everything
seems to work as expected apart from:

In section 3.4, Configuring IP Forwarding Policies, the example is followed
by a paragraph that suggests adding -V or -W to tighten security. If I add
either of these options, then my clients cannot get out to the net.

My Linux box is connected via a cable modem on eth0. It's IP address is
192.168.0.1. The clients are connected via eth1. The machine I was running
the testing from is 192.168.0.7.

The following appears to work fine:

ipfwadm -F -p deny
ipfwadm -F -a m -S 192.168.0.0/24 -D 0.0.0.0/0

Now if I add either '-V 192.168.0.1' or '-W eth1' to the second comand, all
my client accesses fail.

Any help or suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

Cheers,

Eddie
