Hi! I set up perfectly now the 2 computers:
1) linux
PCI ne 2000 compatible - Realtek 8029
2) Win 95
ISA ne 2000 compatible
I'm using BNC cable. I can ping from linux to win and win to
linux. I can telnet too.
The problem starts when I try ftp some of the computers (linux ->
win or win -> linux)
It works for a few seconds them it crash (windows of course :))
I noticed that win crashed when I do many "ls" commands on the ftp
server. I set up the ip-masquerading completely too. And it works but the
same way as ftp. When I try to reach a page thru netscape it starts do
get the page then windows crashes. Crash = freeze :)
Is this because I'm usign ISA and PCI boards or no? In the driver
of winwe have
NDIS driver advanced mode (32 bit and 16 bit)
NDIS driver real mode (16 bit)
The second option stays longer but crashes too
And another thing: on the netsetup.exe of the isa board there's an
option "Fast remote DMA". But the readme doesn't explain what it is. I try
activating it but win crashes too. :(
Well, at least telnet is working perfectly
