This message got bounced back from masq list yesterday, so I'm trying
again!

Thanks for aiming me at ipxripd. I installed it in my Redhat Machine.
Can I just check one more time to see what might be wrong?

My masq runs on Redhat 5.1, to which one win95 machine is connected
by crossover cable.

At the end of /etc/rc.d/rc, I have this:
/sbin/depmod -a
/sbin/modprobe ip_masq_ftp
/sbin/modprobe ip_masq_raudio
/sbin/modprobe ip_masq_irc

/sbin/ipfwadm -F -p deny
/sbin/ipfwadm -F -a m -S 192.168.1.2/24 -D 0.0.0.0/0
/sbin/route add -net 192.168.1.0

This seems to work ok for http/ftp going out of the win95 machine.

At startup, I do this
# ipx_interface add -p eth0 802.3
# ipx_interface add eth1 802.3

Then /sbin/ifconfig shows something good, I think:

]# /sbin/ifconfig
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
          inet addr:127.0.0.1 Bcast:127.255.255.255 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP BROADCAST LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:3584 Metric:1
          RX packets:25 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
          TX packets:25 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:00:C0:60:59:4E
          inet addr:129.237.34.94 Bcast:129.237.63.255
Mask:255.255.252.0
          IPX/Ethernet 802.3 addr:81ED3FFE:0000C060594E
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:5382 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
          TX packets:682 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
          Interrupt:10 Base address:0x310 Memory:cc000-d0000

eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:00:C0:27:9D:54
          inet addr:192.168.1.1 Bcast:192.168.3.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
          IPX/Ethernet 802.3 addr:0000C0279D54
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:47 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
          TX packets:25 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
          Interrupt:3 Base address:0x290 Memory:d0000-d4000

Then I start ipxripd, with:
# /usr/sbin/ipxd

Shouldn't that be enough? The win95 machine sees nothing in
Network Neighborhood except itself. Maybe I have to do something
in the win95 machine to make it look for novell networks? Or
is there a way to check on the networking to see if the iPX packets
are getting re-routed from eth0 to eth1

Since I know nothing about networking, I'm
without a clue. The only complication I can detect is that our networking
professionals tell us to use the mask 255.255.252.0 in setting up
our machines, so the ethernet card that is plugged into the wall has
that, but I followed the IPMASQ directions and used 255.255.255.0 for
eth1 and in the win95 machine.
