New York City changes paramedic protocols

Jim Hoffman here from The EMS Professional with a special note for NYC
paramedics.

August 1, 2009 brought yet some more changes to the NYC Paramedic
REMAC protocols.


The primary changes to note are:

Lidocaine removed from all guidelines including Head Injuries and
Pharmacology Table.

Nitropaste removed from guidelines in Suspected MI and Acute Pulmonary Edema

Clarification on Narcan dosages

They Split the Cyanide/Smoke Inhalation protocol into two separate protocols.

Plus there have been several language changes within the Gen Ops,
selected protocols
and Appendixes.
