New York City changes paramedic protocols ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jim Hoffman here from The EMS Professional with a special note for NYC paramedics. August 1, 2009 brought yet some more changes to the NYC Paramedic REMAC protocols. The primary changes to note are: Lidocaine removed from all guidelines including Head Injuries and Pharmacology Table. Nitropaste removed from guidelines in Suspected MI and Acute Pulmonary Edema Clarification on Narcan dosages They Split the Cyanide/Smoke Inhalation protocol into two separate protocols. Plus there have been several language changes within the Gen Ops, selected protocols and Appendixes. You can view all these changes in full at the REMSCO website.
