Welcome to Massachusetts - home of the 2 and a half story wood frame homes

If there is a fire in a 2.5 wood frame - what firefighting resources are needed?

1. 2 quints - 1 at at the A/B corner - and one at the a/d corner -
maybe 3 or 4 quints - 1 in each driveway on either side, plus 2 in
front.- I dont think that getting an aerial to the roof in the rear is
ever possible - except if it is a a corner lot

2. Maybe one to four large diameter hose lines to the 4 best hydrants
are needed - note that I did NOT say the 4 "closest" hydrants - maybe
4 pumpers and 4 humat valves are needed to boost the pressure - maybe
a tanker relay is needed in rural areas

3. Outside hose lines or deck guns or ladder pipes or CAFS lines or
gel will prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings

4. Inside fire attack is dome by FFs in SCBA using hose lines

5. The more people inside the building - the greater is the weight
load on the structure of the building - and the less room to move
around - and the bigger the mess if there is a bld collapse
