Dear Boston Medflight - your helicopters transmit on 465.80 - your repeaters transmit on 460.80 - if you could work this over in your mind a couple of times, it might be very useful. Here are a couple of questions to help you tackle this material. 1. When a helicopter transmits on 465.80, do they activate all 3 repeaters at the same time? Why not? 2. When your units transmit on "direct" (maybe Channel 16), what repeaters do they activate? Warning - trick question! 3. How does your dispatcher hear the units on "direct"? 4. New Hampshire apparently has a common LZ freq. Does Massachusetts? Hint 1 - PL / DPL systems utilize "encoders" and "decoders". Hint 2 - 460.80 >>> 460.80 >>> 460.80 >>> 460.80 >>> 460.80 >>> 460.80 >>> 460.80 >>> 460.80 etc etc ie ie etc ad infinitum Hint 3 - Please see Hint 2 Hint 4 - New Hampshire, where's that? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
