Do you remember the story in RCMA approx 25 years ago from Giles Thibidoux? Lac Megantic Quebec had a mbile telephone in the police car. Emergency calls were received by the police officer in the police car directly from the public. If the FD was needed, the police officer would activate the paging encoder that was mounted in the police car.
