If you cant tell us which of the apparent multiple unconfined ignition sources caused the explosion, can you at least tell us the source of the unconfined explosive vapor? Why is the chemical process no longer used? Was it a disaster just waiting to happen? Have there been other explosions using this process? How come no one realized that vapors were filling the building? Did vapors always fill the building? Did the vapors not have any odor? Were there no explosive vapor detectors in the building? If the vapor alarms sounded but were ignored, and the grinding operation continued, was that worker given a medal? Will a monument be erected to his/her brilliance? Or a memorial wall for the dozens he/she will kill in the future? Has any thought been given to relocating this facility to the middle of Utah or Kansas? The fire marshal's office concluded that the explosion "was the result of flammable vapors within the structure being ignited by an undetermined source.
