WBUR - 354 PM - cardiac expert says that vigorous exercise should be preceded by warm up and followed by cooldown - Dr Eric Bagash at MGH - 5 to 10 minutes each
The heart just works better this way - and with less stress - maybe with fewer adverse events also After the cool down - should be able to speak in full sentences, and hard breathing and sweating should have stopped If walking up stairs for exercise - make first flights easy - then do some flights quickly - then do some flights slowly near the top I dont know how this can translate to firefighting where firefighters sometimes have to go from 0 to 60 MPH in a minute - maybe it is important to have a minimum response time (maybe 2 minutes) in order to bring the heart up to speed - or maybe some meds or vitamins / supplements would fit the bill - maybe less coffee would keep the heart from going crazy -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
