Hanscom AFB responded to Runway 29 today for an inbound Citation jet with minimum fuel. The jet landed safely. Hanscom Chief 2, Rescue 3, and Crash 9 responded to the runway. Chief 2 must have been talking to the control tower on some freq. Via 166.225R he advised the other FD units that they were clear to use a taxiway and to hold short of Runway 29. "A1" also responded to the call. Initially the dispatcher told A1 to use a certain gate to access the field, but then Chief 2 told A1 to standby at the fire station. I am guessing that A1 was a Armstrong Ambulance Service unit, but I am not positive about that since they were transmitting on 166.225 R (something that I dont think that they were doing previously).
