Thinking out loud about medevacs 1. Medevacs collect $10,000 per transport - $1,000 goes to the investors - (per Air Methods recent report)
2. There have been calls to add 2nd pilots to all medevacs I wonder if the 10% profit is changed to 5% profit - will that pay for the 2nd pilot? (If they do 2 flights in a day - that would be $1000 for a 2nd pilot - that would be $365,000 per year in extra money to pay for pilots - is $90,000 per year enough for a helo pilot? - maybe) Certainly if they chose to add a 2nd pilot just for night flights - then the financials would work.
