Low overcast cluds today - I was hearing Newburyport FD on 158.955 R PL 203.5 at 3 bars going to an EMS call - I noticed that when (Cataldo) "Medic 12" was talking I was getting him at 4 bars - happened 2 times that way
Moral of the story - you might hear the medic units over further distance since they are using a different repeater than Newburyport FD. Perhaps the Medic 11 was using the Amesbury or Salisbury repeater - probably Amesbury.
