There are reports that the driver somehow missed the signs - and then was looking at his GPS - looked up - saw the bridge - slam! Still find it hard to believe that his windshield was hit by a big "low bridge" sign, and he kept driving anyhow. (Maybe the hangdown sign or chains were actually missing)
