Aug 2013 - Boston Herald will let loose with Internet Radio

http://bostonherald.com/business/media_marketing/2013/07/herald_internet_radio_to_get_boston_connected

only 12 hours per day of live programming

Boston Mass has 2 major newspapers - Boston Globe (democrats) and
Boston Herald (anti democrats) - Boston has 4 major TV stations with
live news broadcasts (TV4 TV5 TV7 TV25) and 1 major cable news outlet
(NECN) - there are independent newspapers and many colleges run radio
stations with Internet feeds (colleges dont run TV stations AFAIK) -
wickedlocal.com provides approx 100 local newspapers for the suburbs

Maybe a dozen police or fire agencies provide scanner feeds in Massachusetts

Many local communties have "cable TV" platforms that provide local
government programs via cable TV or via the Internet - Watertown Cable
and Salem Cable had/have scanner feeds

I am not sure what "satellite radio" or "satellite TV" provides in
terms of government material or scanner feeds (live scanner audio) - I
have not heard of them providing any scanner feeds
