Dear Councilors: I hereby submit for your approval an Order to accept and expend for the benefit of the City of Boston, a donation of lumber, in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 in value, for use by the Boston Police Department’s Special Operations Division, Canine Unit, to update and replace current agility obstacles, as well as to build new obstacles used for training Department canines. These items will be used in furtherance ofthe City’s efforts relating to train ing and use of Department canines in a law enforcement capacity. I urge your Honorable Body to adopt this Order as soon as possible so that the City of Boston may accept the lumber expeditiously and use it for the purpose for which it was granted.
