Radio traffic do you want 10-75 or 10-60? (confusion seems to be normal with the 10-60)
radios are dropping out - either they are trying to use Hts in vehicles as they move, or the infrastructure is weak Division 1 is actually Division 1 aide - he has a 2nd radio on the HT freq (which is making too much noise in the background when he talks to the dispatcher on the "Manhattan" channel) LA County would have sent the response list to the IC via the MDT chief had to ask for Cmd Post and Staging locations they only gave the Staging location - they did not give a travel route - they did not say which units were supposed to go to staging - maybe it is everyone above the first alarm what exactly was the 10-60? 3 engines? 6 engines? (plus specialty units) what happened to the 2nd alarm? were the 2nd alarm units used for the 10-60? from the video - first arriving - 1 cop vehicle - 2nd arriving - 1 pumper - 3rd arriving - 1 PD rescue truck - 4th arriving - FDNY tower ladder - (maybe some foot cops also showed up) I thought the black guy in the white shirt really stood out - everyone else all looked the same - no one had orange vests on - maybe if a FDNY chief appeared in white turnouts, he would stand out from the crowd also no mention of ambulances needed - maybe they are automatic on the 10-60 initial call was for explosion and building collapse - so everyone on FDNY had a pretty good idea what the call was going to be all about - except they didnt say it was a 5 story bld On Fri, Mar 27, 2015 at 8:30 AM, Peter S <[email protected]> wrote: > http://www.statter911.com/2015/03/26/explosion-fire-in-manhattans-east-village/ > > tremendous pre arrival video from NYC 7 alarmer / gas explosion > > all you have to do is watch the first 2 videos - first video catches > the explosion (1 minute) - 2nd video catches the immediate aftermath > (5 minutes) > > the guy that climbed the fire escape definitely needs a Carnegie hero award -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
