WGBH FM did a long report about medical examiners today ME take about 242 days on average to provide an autopsy report on the death of children (approx 100 cases reviewed by reporters)
Supposedly the delays take place in the writing of the reports - the autopsies are being done quickly, but there is a lack of qualified people to write the reports (makes no sense to me - doctor takes 2 hours to do an autopsy - doctor talks into a tape recorder while doing the autopsy, and describes what is seen - what more do you need to do? - push the stop button on the tape recorder?) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
