Broadly speaking - in the USa now - we have ->>>> cops and firefighters and medics
What if we required every public safety worker to wear two hats? Then we would end up with - cop / firefighter cop / paramedic firefighter / paramedic If we put 2 of these people in small vans - we would end up with random crews of - cop / FF + cop / PM cop / FF + ff / pm cop / pm + ff / pm ff / pm + cop / FF So the overall staffing for each vehicle would be either - 2 parts cop + 1 part FF + 1 part PM 1 part cop + 2 part FF + 1 part PM - twice 1 part cop + 1 part FF + 2 parts PM So if we did equal numbers of people trained as ff, or pm or cop - we would end up with weighted staffing of - 6 parts FF+ 5 parts cop + 5 parts medic - basically equal numbers of each- which is far from is seen in USA cities - therefore you would not train equal numbers of each specialty unless I did my calculations all wrong -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
