If your fire station has a computer and a Internet connection - then
$70 will apparently get you a scanner feed and text alerting

If the text alerting can be configured to just send high priority
texts during sleeping hours - then the system can be used to alert the
public of serious emergencies - sorta like PulsePoint - especially for
rural agencies

You know what I am trying to say even if I am being inarticuable
