private ambulance companies with 911 contracts in Massachusetts

these companies respond to emergency medical calls placed to the 911
dispatch centers in these communities - heart attacks, car crashes,
fires, calamities, etc

ie - a member of the public sees 2 cars collide and thinks that people
are injured - the person dials 911 and reports the emergency - the 911
center sends the private ambulance to the scene, as well as the
police, and the fire department if needed

this is not an earth breaking concept - I just want to state it as
plainly as possible - the same thing happens all over the world - but
not in all communities - some places have publicly operated ambulances
(ie ambulances staffed by governmental workers/government employees -
people paid with tax money) - although I suppose there are some
ambulances in some countries where you might have non paid
governmental workers providing the ambulance service - many of the
smaller ambulance agencies in the USA for example - ambulances
operated by small volunteer fire departments or small volunteer
ambulance squads - some of them might be considered to be governmental
workers - for insurance and pension issues

going off the rails here
