heard today - 453.8875 - this is a remote receiver link for Ipswich FD
- just field units are heard - it feeds 159.39R - 99% of the time,
just a high tone is heard on 453.8875 - but when field units are
talking, you will hear them on 453.8875 and 159.39R at the same time

perhaps I should explain a little more

Ipswich FD runs a repeater on 159.39R with an input on 151.19

This means that mobiles transmit on 151.19 and receive on 159.39

apparently there is a receiver site in Ipswich somewhere that is
receiving on 151.19 and transmitting on 453.8875 - which implies that
there is a receiver site at the voter site that is receiving on
453.8875

bottom line - they are using 453.8875 to link their remote receiver
site to their voter - instead of paying for a phone line or a
microwave link

does that help? probably not - lol
