45 minute lecture I think he is basically saying that modern buildings are NOT really being adequately designed in regards to fire protection - the building codes are based on quicksand - just because 120 minutes of fire resistance are required, does anyone know if the buildings will actually remain upright for 120 minutes? - apparently not on the other hand - maybe the buildings are grossly overdesigned to prevent collapse from wind loads and static loads - therefore fire safety gets baked in subconsciously / unconsciously (my words - as lame as they are) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
