FD hazmat teams in Massachusetts (there might also be some private hazmat teams ... and some water treatment plants with staff trained to handle chlorine leaks ... and some refrigeration sites with staff trained to handle ammonia leaks]
Mass Dept of Fire Services ... which is under the leadership of the State Fire Marshal ... has 6 hazmat teams and a maritime hazmat team and jihat teams etc ... you can look at massfiretrucks or firenews.org to see the vehicle locations ... they are scattered statewide at various fire stations there also seems to be a good number of local FD hazmat teams based on massfiretrucks listing of hazmat trucks .... it looks like the following FDs have their own local haz mat teams Boston Cambridge Massport Boston Westover AFB JBCC Worcester ? Springfield Quincy Fall River ? Newton ? MWRA ... maybe at Deer Island and/or Clinton and/or Marlborough Weymouth Fitchburg Westfield ? Everett ? Webster Somerville ? Waltham ? Sturbridge ? Woburn ? pittsfield ? maybe not Greenfield ? maybe not Amherst ? maybe not we could check some of those FD websites for further info ... maybe their annual reports also for private sites ... maybe GE in Lynn and GE in pittsfield ... maybe mit and harvard university ... maybe raytheon ... maybe honeywell ? ... maybe some incinerators ..... maybe the LNG site in Everett ... maybe the scrap yard in Everett maybe also national guard and us army lab in natick ??? anyone know if there are any mutual aid agreements between these various teams? would fbi and dea and arf have hazmat teams in Massachusetts also? you would think they would -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
