iirc the initial dispatch was for 'smoke in the apartment' - not for
'fire' in the apartment - which jives with the fact that the survivor
did not suffer any burns even though she was 72 and it was the middle
of the night - presumably the smoke woke her up while she was sleeping
- and she was able to reach her balcony but was not able to reach her
kitchen - if she had reached her kitchen or living room I presume she
would been able to reach the common hallway - which would have led to
the elevators or stairwell(s)
