recently heard via openmhz live scanner audio feeds Worcester FD - Channel 10 = Tac 10 - maybe is used for training - heard radio checks with approx 6 units and then a "bld fire" was announced - apparently was a training drill
Worcester EMS - on the dispatch TG the dispatcher announced that Coastal ALS was responding to a call in the city - and they also announced that ?Northboro? Fire was responding to an EMS call in Shrewsbury Shrewsbuy announced a breathing difficulty call on both their fire dispatch TG and their police dispatch TG at the same time - dispatcher mentioned that the "Medics" were also responding Worcester Airport fire TG - "Fire Alarm" is the dispatcher - might be at Logan Airport in Boston - they had a minor incident which they classified as a Ground Emergency - therefore a "Everbridge" was not required as it would be if the incident was classified as an Alert 1 - C6 is shift commander - Eng 61 + Engine 62 + 6200 heard Worcester Airport - fire was told that an alarm was received from their station - there were workers in the firehouse - C6 was told to switch to the "Ops" channel to talk to Worcester 10 and Worcester Security about it DCR Field Ops channel / TG - "State Control to any Boston Region ranger" - 'overheard that Boston Fire is enroute to Malibu Beach for an incident' - Ranger 78 went to the scene - car was in water - BFD checked it out - 3/11/2023 - 951 am DCR Emergency Broadcast TG / TG 675 - "State Police Holden to Watershed Ranger on ECall" - Ranger 811 replied - MSP was looking for description of people seen near Clinton Dam - MSP had 1 unit at the dam checking out an alarm - "ECall" might be 'Environmental Call' DCR Fire 2 TG - this seems to cover all of Worcester County and maybe all areas to the east - State Forest Fire units are heard going to incidents - State Forest Fire towers check in and out of service - and report daily fire class, trucks runs, fires, and staffing - units heard included - 80 - truck 81 - Patrol 51 - Sandwich Tower - Fall River Tower - Truck 7-2 - Fire 7 Oh - Fire 10 and 12 went to Northboro from Cape Cod at 851 am on 4/15/2023 - District 3 HQ - District 4 HQ - 14-1 and 14-2 cleared the Boston Marathon Detail at Hopkinton at 1224 pm on 4/17/2023 - Dover Tower - Sharon Tower - Charlton Tower - West Brookfield Tower - '20 to 41 give me a call' - Plymouth Tower - 10 told Sandwich Tower that he was responding to a fire in Barnstable - Sandwich Tower told State Control to start a "truck run" (in the CAD system) - Truck 52 told state control that he was going to a Rowley wildfire at 1610 hours on 4/18/2023 - turned out to be very minor - Fall River Tower had Class 4 wx but no truck runs and 1 class 1 fire - 4/19/2023 at 820 am approx Tender 17 and Breaker 16 and Truck 36 and 747 and 10 went to prescribed burns in Falmouth - each district seems to have staffing of 3 or 4 people spread between trucks and towers - no traffic heard from district 6 (northern middlesex county) - seems that some traffic is also done on other channels (probably the older VHF channels at 151 mhz) - no fire weather forecasts heard DCR Fire 1 - just daily radio ID heard at 8 am - no western mass units heard talking - unsure why - maybe they dont use Fire 1 or maybe the openmhz does not hear the traffic TG 661 - DCR Harbor 1 - actually sounds like Boston DPW trash crew in Allston -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
