4 patients - all gunshot victims - 2 went to OR - 1 is out already - 1 still in surgery
1 being treated by interventional radiology - they can treat vascular injuries by inserting catheters 1 is stable in trauma center / ED - did not need surgery apparently 3 will go to ICU after surgery since they are all in critical condition --------------------------------- reading between the lines - the trauma center is more of a "process" than a physical location - patients come in via ED - are seen immediately by trauma surgeons / specialists - patients then go to OR or radiology if needed - after surgery patients go to ICU probably stroke patients and heart attack victims and other critical medical patients are treated in the same rooms more or less - but are maybe treated by different doctors / specialists - as you would expect https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/capital/an-inside-look-at-gradys-largest-investment-in-30-years.html - grady got more ORs - unknown total number https://www.wabe.org/grady-memorial-hospital-expands-atlanta-footprint-with-new-outpatient-building/ - wellstar closed 2 hospitals in atlanta in 2022 - ????? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
