Connecticut is the 14th most forested state in the United States with
approximately 60 % forested cover. It is also the 4th most-densely
populated state in the country. These two factors create a unique and
challenging environment to develop meaningful and effective resource
management strategies that will meet the needs of its citizens while
protecting and enhancing its natural and ecological resources.
