LAFD radio history - 1940s ish - 33 mhz - 1960s ish got some portable
radios on 33 mhz - maybe for officers only - 1970s ish - added HTs at
500 mhz with 6 channels - 1990s ish - went to 20 channel analog
conventional / non trunked 800 mhz system with synchronized simulcast
repeaters - they also have radio microphone attachments to scba masks
(since 1990s maybe)
