police and fire have portable radios for nearly every onduty person public works - just portable radios for some upper level staff
railroads - 1 mobile per locomotive and 1 portable radio per conductor electric utilitys - maybe 1 mobile radio per repair truck - maybe 1 portable radio also ambulances - private ambulances might not have portable radios - especially if they do mostly non-emergency transfer calls delivery trucks - maybe 1 tablet per truck long haul truckers - maybe 1 sat phone or satellite data terminal per truck nowadays aviation - at least 1 low power AM aviation band radio per aircraft usually boats - at least 1 marine band radio per boat that is larger than 20 feet in length ish sorta cellphones - 1 for every person alive military - 1 radio for every mobile piece of equipment except transport trucks - maybe 1 small portable radio for every land soldier - specialized sailors have portable radios onboard their ship hospitals - just mtnce guys and security and some admins have 2 way radios - many pagers in use maybe business buildings - mtnce and security have 2 way radios factorys - many workers have 2 way radios universitys and local schools - many new systems added in recent years due to active shooters - otherwise - just security and mtnce have radios - sometimes -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
