Hi, after not being able to find packages for gentoo Ive started to put some together but have hit a roadblock. I have all the base system done except for mate-panel whos build dies with:
CCLD clock-applet clock_applet-calendar-sources.o: In function `calendar_sources_load_sources': calendar-sources.c:(.text+0x47e): undefined reference to `e_source_list_new_for_mateconf' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[5]: *** [clock-applet] Error 1 Does anyone know where "e_source_list_new_for_mateconf" is defined as it isn't showing up in any of the source packages in the base set unless something has gone wrong there as well. My "roadmap" is to get a working install, fine tune then get comment from a tame gentoo dev if I can (in case I have made a serious mistake somewhere) and then make them public. After which I'll start adding the extra packages etc. as they come up. Unfortunately gentoos gnome builds are way over the top complex (as they have to be!) to directly/easily use so I've resorted to "roll-my-own" which is time consuming. Its actually been a useful learning experience! - glad I started it :) BillK ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
