Hello Folks,
As I see, the eom app is lacking proper svg rendering. Actually this was a
bug in EOG which was fixed back in 2010, on upstream 2.3x or so. This fix
was used by me from the beginning. Here goes the bug report
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eog/+bug/92127>from ubuntu. As
such if Mate is forked from a later version than this, this fix should have
been present in the app.

For now, I don't see any other workaround for this except replacing EOM
with EOG.
