I see following options : 1. do the archiving automatically on http://www.mail-archive.com/
2. start using MailMan (http://www.list.org) which has an archiver built-in (but no search engine). You can combine it with MHonArc (http://www.oac.uci.edu/indiv/ehood/mhonarc.html) Option 1 is the easiest but gives less control over the archiving process.
