That seems reasonable. It would be good to get MELPA pointing at github because
the version in github works with later Emacs versions (I removed some of the
.el files that no longer work).

Hi all
I presume you all have seen Jonas email concerning the MELPA convention.
The most logical solution to this problem would be
1. Follow his advice
2. Also adapt the MELPA recipe file, so that refers to the Github
repository.
However since there are some changes concerning the directory tree in
github and some cleaning, I would like to discuss this Jonas, who
unfortunately is a bit busy these days.
Meanwhile a user, Mark Norton, reported a problem with MELPA.
So I propose trying to fix his problem this following Jonas
recommendation, but for the sourceforge repository, as an emergency
solution.
Once I have clarified the open questions with Jonas, I change the MELPA
recipe to the Github repository
Any comments?
