Andrew, this failure appears to be related to something in the tex cache. Coincidentally (or not) I recently contributed a patch to the texmanager. It is not clear if it is my changes or the old race condition that is causing problems, but it would be nice to have the buildbots use the MPLCONFIGDIR, and have each bot use a different one. This should be fairly easy -- any chance you could look into it?
